How to use KEYRING Email Wallet?

Create Wallet

The KEYRING Email Wallet will be created/activated through a domain URL categorized by company or group. This URL will be provided by the development team to the requesting partner.

The URL will follow this format:

https://emailwallet.keyring.app/activate-by-email/[group-name]

The [group-name] is the name of the registering company or group.

To create a KEYRING Email Wallet, follow these steps:

Access the provided activation page.
Click on "Connect."
Enter the email you want to use to create the wallet.
You will receive an email from Wallet Connect. Check your email.
After successful approval, you will be prompted to enter an OTP.
Wallet Connect will send an email with the OTP. Check your email.
Enter the OTP, and you will be directed to your wallet.

Check Seed Phrase/ Recover Phrase

Since the KEYRING Email Wallet utilizes the infrastructure of Wallet Connect, the wallet's security information is stored on the Wallet Connect platform. Therefore, to view the seed phrase, users need to visit the Wallet Connect website.

Go to https://secure.walletconnect.com/dashboard.
Click on "Connect Wallet."
Enter the email associated with the wallet to view the seed phrase.
Access your email to retrieve the OTP and enter it to log in.
After successfully logging in, users can select "Reveal Recovery Phrase."
Users have the option to display the Recovery Phrase or copy it to import into another wallet.

Please note that since KEYRING Email Wallet uses Wallet Connect's infrastructure to help new users quickly become familiar with using a wallet, KEYRING Email Wallet cannot protect the Recovery Phrase. This security responsibility lies with Wallet Connect.

Therefore, users should only use the KEYRING Email Wallet for storing assets of low value. For storing high-value assets, we recommend using highly secure crypto wallets, such as the KEYRING PRO Wallet.

How to Receive Assets?

One of the essential features of a crypto wallet is the ability to receive assets.

Let's start with the Desktop interface because it's easier to see:

On the main interface of the KEYRING Email Wallet, you will see your wallet address along with a QR code.
Copy your wallet address and share it with the sender, or have the sender scan the QR code directly.

For phone operations, there is one extra simple step: tap the QR code icon. This will bring up an interface similar to the one on a desktop.

How to Send Assets?

To send assets, follow these steps:

Select the asset you want to send.
Click "Send."
Enter the recipient's wallet address.
Enter the amount of the asset you want to send.
(Optional) Choose the gas fee. Higher gas fees prioritize the transaction.
Click "Send."
Approve the transaction to confirm the sending.

How to Exchange Token?

Select the asset you want to exchange.
Click exchange.
Select the chain you want to switch to.
Select the asset you want to switch to.
Choose the amount of the asset you want to exchange.

How to Send NFT?

The process of sending an NFT is quite simple, similar to sending tokens, but with a few differences:

Select the NFT tab.
Choose the NFT you want to send.
Select Send.
Enter the recipient's wallet address.
Enter the quantity of NFTs you want to send.
(Optional) Choose the gas fee. (Higher gas fees result in faster transactions.)
Press Send to complete the process.

How to Disconnect My Wallet?

After logging into your wallet on a device, it's important to disconnect the wallet from that device after use to ensure security, especially if the device is not your personal and trusted device.

Don't worry about losing access to your account when disconnecting, because the KEYRING Email Wallet is associated with the email you used to register. Therefore, you can simply log in with that email to access the created wallet.
